I am giving a thought to including a well devised 'employment agreement ' in my future endeavors as a software developer.
Because what I want:
"Just give me a hint of what you want or a very detailed requirement document - it's up to you and a month's time. I can develop any application efficiently within a month's time if I am working from home. If I have to commute to work everyday , I might need 2 months "
Yes my work life and career aspirations are that simple . All I need is opportunity - opportunity to contribute, to code and develop at my own pace, without micromanagement and hustle, without my peers judging me wrongly.
I know my skills. But when xxx and xxxxx were persistently evaluating my skills wrongly - which they were not supposed to- it is very hurtful. It's very difficult for me to digest a wrong evaluation of me. I really don't know where to go from there. I think this is one of the disadvantages of scrum and collaboration done without much thought into team dynamics.
In a scrum and collaborative environment, peers are not supposed to evaluate or rate each other because a wrong evaluation can go a long way in harming another team member. Self evaluation is the best tool that establishes:
1. Accomplishments
2. Roadblocks
3. Action items to improve
